Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to Manomithra Assessment & Psychological Services (MAPS) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our psychological services and related activities provided at MAPS, located at No. 12, Ground Floor, Ganesh Nagar Main Road, Selaiyur, Chennai - 600073, Tamil Nadu, India. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided
We offer the following services, both offline and online:

Counseling and Psychotherapy: Individual and group sessions designed to address mental health issues, emotional difficulties, and personal growth.

Psychological Assessments: Evaluations to diagnose and understand psychological conditions and provide recommendations for treatment or intervention.

Cognitive Retraining: Structured programs aimed at improving cognitive functions and addressing specific cognitive challenges.

Remedial Education: Support and educational interventions tailored to address learning difficulties and enhance academic performance.

Academic Internship: Practical learning opportunities for students and professionals in the field of psychology.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Psychological support and consultation tailored for corporate settings, including employee wellness programs and organizational development.

Training and Workshops: Educational sessions and workshops designed to enhance mental health awareness, coping skills, and professional development.

Child Guidance: Support and intervention for children and adolescents to address behavioral and emotional issues.

Career Counseling & Vocational Guidance: Assistance with career planning, job search strategies, and vocational development.

3. Appointments and Cancellations
3.1 Scheduling
Appointments for all services must be scheduled in advance. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred times, but availability may vary. Please note that the scheduling of appointments is at the sole discretion of management.

3.2 Punctuality
Clients must make their own arrangements to attend appointments and arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time. If a client is late by more than 15 minutes, the appointment may be canceled or the consulting time may be reduced.

3.3 Cancellations
To cancel or reschedule an appointment:

  • 24 hours prior to the appointment time: Full refund or rescheduling at no extra charge.

  • 6 hours prior to the appointment time: 50% refund or rescheduling at no extra charge.

  • Less than 6 hours prior or no-show: No refund.

4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Fees
Fees for our services are detailed in our service agreement or during the initial consultation. Please consult our fee schedule for specific rates applicable to each service.

4.2 Payment Terms
All payments must be made at the time of booking to secure your appointment slot. We accept all payment methods UPI, credit/ debit card, Netbanking, Cash. Late payments may attract additional charges.

5. Online Appointments
For online appointments, it is the client's responsibility to ensure:

  • Device Readiness: The device used for the appointment is ready and functioning.

  • Noise-Free Environment: The environment is free from excessive noise.

  • Stable Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is available for smooth communication.

We are not responsible for any discrepancies or issues arising from the client’s failure to meet these requirements. Payments must be paid in full, and no refunds will be issued due to issues related to online arrangements.

6. Confidentiality
We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal and health information. All information shared during the course of our services will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Responsibilities
7.1 Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information and actively participate in the therapeutic or assessment process. It is your responsibility to communicate any concerns or changes regarding your treatment or services.

7.2 Practitioner Responsibilities
We are dedicated to providing professional, ethical, and high-quality services. We will work collaboratively with you to address your needs and concerns.

8. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services if:

  • You fail to adhere to the agreed terms, including payment and appointment policies.

  • We believe that continuation of services is not in your best interest.

  • There are breaches of confidentiality or other significant issues.

9. Liability
While we strive to provide the highest standard of care, psychological services involve personal and subjective elements. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

10. Intellectual Property
All content and materials provided during our services, including assessments, reports, and educational materials, are the intellectual property of Manomithra Assessment & Psychological Services (MAPS) and may not be reproduced or distributed without our written consent.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms and Conditions on our website or notifying you directly. It is your responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions periodically.

12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
